Sara Witek, Au.D., CCC-A

Sara Witek is a clinical audiologist who finds great meaning in the moments when patients rediscover sounds they had forgotten existed. Whether it’s the subtle background noise of daily life or the voices of loved ones in a crowded room, she is driven by helping individuals regain confidence and independence through better hearing.
Dr. Witek earned her Doctor of Audiology from Arizona State University and her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Saint Xavier University. With six years of experience in diverse clinical settings, she has developed expertise in pediatric audiology, adult cochlear implants and hearing aid care.
Sara played a key role in expanding access to advanced hearing treatment by creating and launching an adult cochlear implant program at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan. She has also been deeply involved in clinical education—precepting doctoral students throughout her career and training new clinical staff in diagnostic evaluations and hearing aid care at Massachusetts Eye and Ear. Her background reflects both strong clinical skills and a commitment to mentorship and program development.
Her approach to care is grounded in collaboration, careful listening and clear communication. She believes treatment plans should fit the whole person in real life—not just the audiogram—and values working alongside patients to ensure they feel informed, empowered and supported throughout their hearing journey. Few moments are more rewarding to her than witnessing the transformation cochlear implant recipients experience as they regain independence and reconnect with their world.
Originally from Chicago, Sara now lives near Boston, Massachusetts. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys reading fiction, traveling to explore new cities and taking on creative DIY projects—recently discovering a love for stained glass art after completing her first piece.
